Anyway, I’m safely delivered to the hotel IN LONDON where I have a gorgeous view of the city (or at least the London Eye; I don’t know the skyline well enough to recognize anything from a distance at night) and, improbably, a U.S. electrical outlet.
You know, in all the michegas leading up to this trip, I’d forgotten that even though this conference is going to be a bit of a hot mess, I’m still spending most of the next week surrounded by tea and British accents, so that’s pretty shiny.
Anyway, off to find some dinner and convince my internal clock that it’s after 9 p.m.!
